RL3 and RL6 CHARACTER AND CULTURE POV:
Section 1/Chapter1-2 Pages 1-44
In this section the characters developed by their dialogue and actions. On page 8 Meg's brother was being talked bad about, and she stands up for him.
"And on the way home from school, walking up the road with her arms full of books, one of the boys had said something about her "dumb baby brother." at this she had thrown the books to the side of the road and tackled him with every ounce of strength she had, and arrived home with her blouse torn and had a big bruise under one eye." (L'Engle 8)
The way meg stands up to those boys like this shows she is a confident and loves her family.
Section 2/Chapters 3-4 Pages 45-83
In this section the Meg is being developed by feeling the emotion of love and friendship.
"Maybe we wen't meant to meet before this,' calvin said 'i mean i knew you were in school and everything, but i didn't know you but im glad we've met now,Meg. We're going to be friends, you know." (L'Engle 45)

The characters a starting to be developed more Meg is a protagonist and Mrs.Whatsit is a foil character.
She is a character that turns Meg's life upside down and tells her to relax and not to worry about it. And that her attention needs to be fixed on the danger up ahead.
Section 4/Chapters 7-8 Pages 127-158
Characters are being developed by their actions. One in particular Charles Wallace. This is the part were they meet IT and he is being put under a spell. He is proven to be very gullible. But later on in the story he is saved by Meg and learns from his mistakes.
"Try to find out who i am,then,'the thought probed. 'i've been trying,' Charles Wallace said, his voice high and troubled. 'look into my eyes. look deep within them and i will tell you."(L'Engle 139)
Section 5/Chapters 9-10 Pages 159- 193
In this section Calvin is being developed because he wasnt the bravest or the most confident but he tried to save Charles Wallace.
"Calvin's intense voice hit at him. 'come back,charles. Come back to us."
Section 6/Chapters 11-12 Pages 194-232
In this section Meg is developing more she is becoming more aware and more brave. she has to go save her brother from IT.
"Do you have the courage to go alone?' Mrs.Whatsit asked her. megs voice was flat 'no, but it doesnt matter.' she turned to her father and calvin. 'you know its the thing to do. you knoe they'd never send me alone." (L'Engle 218)
